Leiden and Amsterdam
A joint project between Olga Krasa-Ryabets and Jana Siren. Drawing on Jana’s extensive book collection and expertise, together with Olga’s research on non-narrative identity and everyday objects, the collaboration examined rich illustration practices in selected titles from children’s books published in communist Czechoslovakia between the years 1960 – 1989. The project resulted in two public presentations:
March 21st, 2017 – joint lecture (Olga Krasa-Ryabets, Jana Siren), University of Amsterdam.
March 17th, 2017 – conference presentation (Olga Krasa-Ryabets), University of Leiden.
